Dean is a Costs Lawyer with over 20 years’ experience across a broad range of work including costs arising from commercial disputes, professional negligence, insurance, clinical negligence, public law and claims against the police.

Dean is known for his commercial, measured approach and an ability to clarify complex issues for clients and colleagues. Dean is frequently instructed on matters of significant value, high complexity and on bespoke cost law issues.

Dean is an experienced advocate, who has represented clients at detailed assessment, application hearings and cost management conferences in numerous County Courts and the Senior Courts Costs Office. As well as day to day costs law, Dean plays a key role in the marketing of Phoenix Legal Services, client relationships and training for staff and clients.
